C1: How wide are the polygons?
Use inches to measure the widths: eighths, quarters and halves. Work out the widths without moving the ruler. The ruler can then be used to measure the widths of the hexagon and rectangle.

C20: A flexible whiteboard resource which generates 13 different sets of fractions, decimals or percentages; similar to a target board.
There are 13 options:
Select the type of fractions to be generated by clicking on the numbered buttons at the top.

The colour of the tiles can be changed. Select one of 8 colours then click on a tile.

The fractions can be grouped by dragging them about.

The fractions can be discarded by dragging them to the bin.

Children can use the resource to match pairs or group them in threes:
eg 27/100 and 0.73 make 1.
eg 40% of 60 = 24

A clock starts when a set of numbers has been generated. The clock can be hidden or shown (click the green clock button). It can be stopped by clicking the 'stop the clock' button!
The clock can be used to see who can group the fractions in the quickest time.

Generate different numbers of red squares and blue circles. The ratio of red to blue can be changed. The squares and circles can be scattered randomly or put neatly into rows. Use this resource to illustrate how ratio and proportion works.

The buttons from the left: 1. Generate the shapes in random positions. 2. Place the shapes in rows. 3. Show/hide the number generator panel. 4. Show/hide the ratio. 5. Show/hide the fraction. 6. Show/hide the percentage. 7. Generate a random number of squares and circles. The slider determines the number of groups of each shape.
