Active Maths products in general

Question: Could you please send an Active Maths catalogue?
Answer: Everything we have to offer is on the website. All our resources can be tried out online so we don't produce a catalogue or a demo CD.
You will get at least 45 seconds to try out an activity before a password message appears on the screen. This is supposed to stop teachers using Active Maths resources in school without paying for them! You could click the refresh button on your browser to get another 45 seconds.

Questions: Please outline exactly what benefits you get when you buy the CD-Rom or password.
There is the option of purchasing a CD or having a password - what is the difference between the two?
Answer: All Active Maths products, apart from the Active Worksheets, are also available on CD. If you have the resources on CD then you don't have to rely on an internet connection and don't have to bother typing in passwords. The resources can be copied from the CD on to individual computers or networks. Any teacher in your school can use the resources on a CD.
If you buy a password then pupils can access the resources from home, for example they could do the Active Algebra investigations for homework. Teachers can try out Active Maths resources at home or in school before using them in the classroom. New resources are added to the Whiteboard Worksheets website on a regular basis so buying a password rather than a CD gives you access to the latest resource.

Question: Please could you tell me as to whether the CD can be used by more than one member of the department at any one time?
Answer: The resources can be copied from the CD on to individual computers or networks. Any teacher in your school can use the resources on a CD. The name of the school that has bought the CD and site licence will appear on an activity on the screen.

Question: If you buy the CDs do you still need to pay the annual subscription for a password as well?
Answer: No you don't.

Question: Did I read somewhere that the CDs were only suitable for Windows PCs? We have one PC and the rest are Macs running OSX. Your web site seems to work fine on the Macs.
Answer: At the moment we only sell CDs suitable for PCs. The Active Maths website probably looks better on a Mac than on a PC!

Answer: All passwords are case-sensitive: password is not the same as Password or PASSWORD. Check your annual subscription hasn't run out.
